Latisha,
I saw your article on Eboni Johnson because I was googling a search for a girl listed a missing yesterday (Espy) Last Name in Pomona CA. Is there a follow up for Eboni Johnson?

Could you explain the significance of your blog title, if there is one? The word negro is kind of a throwback to decades past, not in a deragatory way, but definitely an older term. It’s interesting that someone so young would use it to describe herself. Any thoughts?
I titled my blog accordingly I do believe. I am a young adult (22), who resides in America. But more than anything I’m a Black young adult living in America. I chose to use the title Negro because it is who I am. I am a member of a race of humankind native to Africa and classified according to physical features (as dark skin pigmentation)
I’m sure my people come from more places than just Africa, but nonetheless I do have ancestors from Africa. I am what I am. I’m a Negro. And I’m proud of the fact.
My best friend “K” has an aunt who is 95 and won’t even consider herself Black or dare be African-American (I don’t blame her), but still calls herself colored or Negro. I was sorta feeling her on the Negro part. Though I had named this blog long before I met my best friend and knew about her aunt.
Negro to me is a beautiful word. So I like using it. It’s a word I know I use daily to speak or reference my people [black people].
I like it. It gives your blog and your voice a longevity and a tie to a history apart from your own existence. Well done.
Every human create equal. The difference is just about the good or bad human being.
Glad to know you
regards,
Good Morning Ms. Latisha,
I was looking at clip on YouTube of two chapters of Tau Beta Sigma, when I noticed that you had posted a clip of your own. Looking at your screen/display name, I was wondering if you are a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, as I am member. If so, please respond. If not, then disregard this.
Either way, have a blessed day!!
